As a Security Officer Driving Role in Thomasville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, shoplifting concerns, hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
