Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time security officer to serve tenants and visitors, perform regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism in accordance with site procedures.

You will document observations and communications, meet minimum requirements, and work a fixed morning schedule in Texas; Allied Universal offers training, growth opportunities, and a benefits package including health, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license may be required where applicable.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports, logs, and shift communications.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
