Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Livermore, CA to safeguard clients across utilities and other industries. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, observe and report security concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor, contractor, and delivery traffic as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
