Job summary

Allied Universal in Livermore, CA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard clients across utilities and other sites. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 20 pounds or more, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter to identify issues.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; document observations and actions per procedures.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols and incidents and communicate with leadership.

Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

Mon 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
Tue 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
Wed 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
Sun 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor, contractor, and delivery traffic as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
