Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Response in Daly City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support operations through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas; verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control issues according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
