Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Portland, TN. You will monitor and patrol the retail location, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while following site-specific procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted per applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas, entrances, and parking zones.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site contacts or leadership.
• Assist with access control, customer and employee assistance, and incident documentation.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, customer and employee assistance, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
