Allied Universal in South Portland, ME is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to safeguard a busy retail distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding our integrity-driven values.

Pay rate is $22.28 per hour with a part-time schedule: DayTime Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM and Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, offering flexibility and growth opportunities within a collaborative

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating professionally with associates, contractors, and guests while helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
