Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer in Memphis, TN to monitor and patrol a retail location, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to customers and staff. You will respond to incidents, maintain logs, and follow site policies while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and teamwork.

Minimum requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing a background check and drug screen as allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas and entrances.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and hazards and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site procedures.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
