Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Compliance in Blythewood, SC to safeguard clients across industries. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, assist with badge and visitor processes, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, minimum 2 years security experience, and the ability to use a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and visitors per site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities and parking areas to deter incidents.
• Verify credentials and document visitor/contractor entry in line with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with calm, solution-focused approach and coordinate with contacts/responders.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports while monitoring vehicle and pedestrian activity.

Pay Rate: $19.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Fri - 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sat - 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun - 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
