Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC. The role involves patrolling a manufacturing and industrial site, monitoring access, and delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors and contractors.

The position is full-time with a schedule including multiple evening shifts. Candidates should have prior security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Pay Rate: $19.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, parking areas, entry points, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
