Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial sites, deter unauthorized activity, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role emphasizes safety, quick incident reporting, and teamwork in a flexible schedule Hours are daytime, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. A valid driver's license and background check are required; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years security-related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and incident reporting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns in a calm, professional manner following escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observed hazards and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
