Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and support daily operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at an automotive-related location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, vehicle inventory areas, access points, and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and vendor entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and reporting potential hazards, property damage, or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
