• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center areas, offices, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Document observations and patrol activities in written reports and share relevant info with Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Assessment in Sterling, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center areas, offices, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in clear written reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
