Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for a Honolulu, HI retail/mall location. The role involves patrolling, providing customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will follow site policies, respond to concerns, and assist visitors and tenants with a professional, people-first approach. The position is full-time with a daytime schedule and rotating shifts.

Formación

• Minimum Requirements: state/county/city security license preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in retail areas, perimeters, parking, and adjacent boundaries; report hazards.
• Respond to incidents and urgent situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to ensure compliance with site rules and report suspicious behavior.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate daily activities with site management and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Services in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and tenants with outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and adjacent property boundaries to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help support compliance with site rules and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and/or responding personnel regarding incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
