Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Full Time CPR Qualified in Ashburn, VA to protect students, staff, and visitors across a government education location. You'll perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and report observations with integrity and customer service at the core.

CPR is preferred, you should be at least 18, have a high school diploma, and pass a background check and drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and local government procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required activity documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
