Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Entry Management in Sterling, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver excellent customer service in a technology-focused environment.

Role is full-time with a daytime/evening schedule and compensation at $23.18 per hour. You will respond to incidents, complete reports, and uphold safety and professionalism on site.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing and background checks as required by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the premises and exterior grounds to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity to site leadership.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports accurately per site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, data center-related areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
