Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Springfield, MA to provide reliable security coverage and customer service at a designated site.

You will work fixed anchor shifts with optional extra shifts through the scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while maintaining a part-time schedule. The role pays $20.50 per hour with opportunities to scale up hours as needed.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience are required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with policy.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to support an orderly shopping environment and assist with access control.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Springfield, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support an orderly shopping environment and assist with access control procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience are required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
