• A valid driver’s license is required for Allied Universal driver policy.

• Background check required under federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location including floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Springfield, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Assist with access control, monitor designated areas, and help to deter theft and unauthorized activity through a visible presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
