Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security services provider in Salinas, CA, seeks an unarmed Security Officer to patrol dealership facilities and maintain safety. Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and dealership personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of dealership facilities and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs for patrols and incidents.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and automotive dealership personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of dealership buildings, vehicle display areas, service bays, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, or property concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
