Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for unarmed patrols in San Jose, CA. You will provide customer service to residents and staff, conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm, professional problem-solving.

The role supports a welcoming community atmosphere and contributes to a safe environment. Successful candidates may have a guard card, badge experience, alarm-panel familiarity, CPR/First Aid certification, and prior customer service

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by following site procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct routine unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking, and perimeters to identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to concerns, incidents, and access-related issues calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear incident reports and patrol logs in accordance with site procedures.

As a Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and support residents and visitors with outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM
• Sun: 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the residential community, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
