Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver) in San Jose, CA. You will monitor and patrol residential communities, deliver customer service, and deter security incidents while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

The role offers a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM) with pay rate of $24.50 per hour. You will use driving patrols, perform access control, and respond to resident concerns per policy. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community grounds, buildings, parking areas, amenity spaces, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations for follow‑up.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and resident service requests while maintaining a professional presence in a residential environment.

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, respond to alarms and resident concerns, document observations, and deliver exceptional customer service. • Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community grounds, buildings, parking areas, amenity spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations for appropriate follow‑up.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and resident service requests while maintaining a professional presence in a residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
