Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in San Jose, CA. You will safeguard clients across residential communities, performing patrols, monitoring access, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The role offers flexible scheduling with weekend shifts and opportunities to engage with new roles via the Claim a Shift platform. Requires a high school diploma and background check; CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a residential community, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols throughout residential communities, including parking areas, common areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, observe property activity, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and incident reporting while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
