Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a bank location in Van Nuys, CA. You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence on site.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work a daytime schedule. A valid guard card and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the financial institution, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
