Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Response in Sterling, VA. You will patrol venues, deter incidents, and support access control and alarm activity while delivering exceptional customer service in a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes responding to incidents, maintaining logs, and working flexible daytime-evening shifts at a technology-focused site. Valid license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed) with HS diploma.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications while providing professional support to the client location.
