Job summary

Allied Universal in Madison, AL is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control. You will safeguard clients across tech and telecom environments, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control activities while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will document observations with company technology, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screening required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• CPR or CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors at a technology-focused site by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors according to site procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document observations and respond to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
