Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to evolving situations, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $13.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report unusual activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
