Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX. You will serve clients across industries, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will support tenants and visitors with professional service and timely reporting. Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour; Schedule includes daytime shifts with 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of law enforcement, 2+ years security supervisor/manager, or 3+ years security experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Criminal histories considered per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the property, including lobbies and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity and maintenance issues.
• Complete activity reports and communicate with site management.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants and visitors through professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, property concerns, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
