Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access, and producing incident reports. Candidates must meet age, education, and licensing requirements, with a background check and drug screen as applicable.

Qualifications

• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per laws.
• Background histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by following site procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, grounds, parking areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access, observe activity, and direct individuals per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with management or emergency services.
• Prepare daily activity reports and incident documentation for leadership.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and assist with directing individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate property representatives and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
