Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response Patrol in Houston, TX. In this role you will monitor and safeguard clients across commercial real estate settings, provide exceptional customer service, and use technology to document activity.

You will perform patrols, respond to alarms, control access, and report incidents following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as per law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in reports.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support access control, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and use technology to document activity. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
