Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Response) in Mechanicsville, VA. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents across a government transportation location.

Eligible candidates must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) with a high school diploma or equivalent, pass background checks and drug screening as required by law. On-site role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public at a government transportation location by following site procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations calmly and report to appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM; Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM; Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM; Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM; Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a transportation-related government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
