Job summary

Allied Universal’s security team in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking an individual for a full-time, unarmed Patrol Incident Response role. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a government transportation location.

The position offers daytime shifts with a fixed weekly schedule and pays $15.50 per hour. Successful candidates will complete required background checks and screenings in compliance with laws.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and shift logs per site requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a transportation-related government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
