Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Digital Logbook) in Springfield, VA. You will monitor access, patrol loading docks and perimeters, and provide courteous customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution site.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Digital Logbook in Springfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
