Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time) to provide exceptional customer service while patrolling a technology and telecommunications site in Henrico, VA. You will maintain a visible security presence, deter incidents, and ensure safety through site procedures and responsive communication.

This role requires 18+ years of age for unarmed positions, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Licensing/guard card preferred where applicable.
• A background investigation is required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology/telecom location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with responders when needed.
• Complete incident reports and daily logs per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Henrico, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
