Responsibilities

• Monitor access and verify credentials, maintaining logs per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations and security concerns in timely reports and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Disputanta, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access and entry activity, verify authorized credentials and/or visitor documentation, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
