Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Medical Readiness in Fairfax, VA to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a designated site.

This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, competitive pay at $18.22 per hour, and pathways to full-time opportunities through on-site training and advancement. Ideal candidates have CPR/First Aid (preferred) and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry, exit, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Medical Readiness in FAIRFAX, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
