Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) for a Data Center in Hillsboro, OR. This part-time role emphasizes safeguarding clients, monitoring facilities, and delivering excellent customer service in a technology-focused environment.

You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document activities for site leadership while contributing to a welcoming, safe workplace. Schedule: Sat/Sun 6:00 AM–2:00 PM; Pay: $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and security-related procedures at a data center location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol findings for leadership.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to site needs, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
