Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a cycling patrol in Birmingham, AL. You will monitor a commercial real estate site, perform bicycle patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while engaging with tenants, visitors, and staff with professional service.

Responsibilities include reporting incidents, following site procedures, and communicating with leadership.

Qualifications

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access activity and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, hazards, and security‑related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding daily activities and incidents.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:
