Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time, unarmed patrol role at a logistics and distribution site in Bessemer, AL. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and document patrols using tablet tools.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and reporting observations to leadership. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background check; drug screen may be required. Schedule includes nights Fri–Sun.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools to document and report security-related observations. Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by observing personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
