Job summary

Allied Universal® in Washington, DC is seeking an Unarmed Patrol First Aid Security Officer. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist passengers and personnel, and maintain a visible security presence at a transportation facility.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting activity, and providing excellent customer service. Minimum requirements include security experience and a HS diploma, with CPR/First Aid and licenses preferred. This is a full-time daytime shift schedule.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with supervisors and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with site requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
