Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol with DoD Secret clearance for Arlington, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding business areas, perimeter, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and report unauthorized entry attempts or other concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notifications according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
