Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.

• Control access to the facility, docks, and restricted areas per established procedures to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site personnel or emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Audit in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.39 / Hour

DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site‑specific access control procedures and security‑related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery information, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Control access to the facility, trailer yards, docks, and/or restricted areas in accordance with established procedures to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, parking areas, and exterior grounds; document observations and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
