Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a Security Officer, Substitute in Waimanalo, HI to guard and patrol facilities, protect life and property, and enforce safety protocols. The role reports to the Supervisor, Safety & Security and requires vigilance, quick response, and coordination with local authorities as needed.

Responsibilities include securing entry points, monitoring alarms, performing inspections, and assisting with emergency response.

Qualifications

• Security guard certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform parking and traffic control duties.
• Conduct routine vehicle equipment inspections.
• Provide general transportation services as necessary.
• Respond to fire alarms and assist in reporting fires.
• Set up and check intrusion alarm systems in building as required.
• Assist staff and law enforcement in controlling disturbances; conduct preliminary investigations.

Description:Security GuardAt the Hawaii (Waimanalo) Job Corps Center, we provide at-risk students with the tools they need to be successful at no-cost to them or their families.

Position: Security Guard Schedule: On-Call Location: Waimanalo, Hawaii

This position reports to Supervisor, Safety & Security and is responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, and disasters in compliance with government and management directives.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Secure building and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment, maintain log of findings and corrective action taken
• Perform parking and traffic control duties
• Perform routine vehicle equipment inspection
• Provide general transportation services as necessary
• Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires, assist in suppressing fires and resent fire alarm equipment
• Set up and check operation of intrusion alarm systems in building as required
• Assist staff and law enforcement personnel in controlling disturbances; conduct preliminary investigation of crimes

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalentOne year related experience
• Security guard certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment required
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
