Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) Hawaii Job Corps Center in Makawao, HI is seeking a Security Officer/Driver for the Prime Shift (1pm-10pm). Pay is $23.00 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

You will guard and patrol assigned areas, protect life and property, and perform transportation-related duties. A high school diploma, two years related experience, a security guard certification, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Guard and patrol assigned areas to protect life and property.
• Perform parking and traffic control duties.
• Conduct routine vehicle equipment inspections.
• Provide general transportation services as necessary.
• Respond to fire alarms and report fires, assist in suppression.
• Set up and check intrusion alarm systems as required.
• Assist staff and law enforcement in disturbances; conduct preliminary investigations.

We are currently seeking candidates for Security Officer/Driver to work our Prime Shift (1pm-10pm).

What you will be doing:

You'll be responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, and disasters in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Duties Include, But Not Limited To

• Secure building and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment maintain log of findings and corrective action taken
• Perform parking and traffic control duties
• Perform routine vehicle equipment inspection
• Provide general transportation services as necessary
• Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires, assist in suppressing fires and reset fire alarm equipment
• Set up and check operation of intrusion alarm systems in building as required
• Assist staff and law enforcement personnel in controlling disturbances; conduct preliminary investigation of crimes

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years related experience
• Security guard certification
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
