Job summary

Allied Universal, a leader in security and facility services, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA. You will serve clients in retail locations, perform patrols, monitor access, and assist with guest and staff safety while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and assist with security-related concerns involving guests, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity in accordance with site expectations.
• Support a professional environment by documenting daily activities, communicating clearly with management and/or public contacts, and following post orders for retail and mall operations.

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
