GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor in Atlanta, GA to lead daily security operations and maintain GardaWorld standards.

The role requires 2+ years of supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass extensive screenings. You will manage staffing, logs, and client relations while promoting safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day security service at the facility and uphold high standards
• Develop and implement staffing schedules and payroll reports
• Maintain operational logs, records, and post orders
• Build effective client and employee relationships; liaise with GardaWorld and client staff
• Assist in staff selection, orientation, training, and development
• Maintain a robust safety culture and program aligned with operations
• Review schedules to improve security operations, reduce risk, and cut costs
• Respond to emergencies with timely communications and reporting
• Direct, supervise, and support site officers
• Distribute rewards and recognition; participate in disciplinary actions when needed
• Supervise and manage personnel at the assigned site
• Maintain professional relations with the client
• Exercise independent judgment in all duties
• Handle additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities For Security Shift Supervisor

• Ensure that GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into and throughout all business practices.
• Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility and ensure service is of the highest standards – capable of representing GardaWorld as the premier provider of security services in the industry.
• Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports.
• Ensure that operational logs, records and post orders are maintained appropriately.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between GardaWorld, our client, and our assigned staff.
• Assist in the selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff assigned to the account.
• Maintain goal of zero safety incidents, while at the same time managing a robust safety culture and a robust safety program that is appropriate to the operating environments.
• Regularly review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement of security operations, decreased risk, and reduced cost where possible.
• Be ready to respond to any operational emergency and insure timely response, timely and efficient communications and accurate reporting.
• Immediate responsibility to direct, supervise, and support site officers.
• Recommend, nominate, and distribute rewards and recognition.
• Responsible for corrective action and discipline of subordinate officers (up to formal warnings) and recommending and participating in other disciplinary decisions up to and including termination.
• Supervise & manage employees at your assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with our client at the assigned site.
• Exercise independent judgement and sound decision making in performing all duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Of a Security Shift Supervisor

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
• You have at least 2 years of supervisor experience.
• You are 21 years of age or older.
