Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site policies in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction-giving per site procedures.
• Prepare incident reports, activity logs, and other documentation; report hazards or policy violations to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Morgue Security Detail in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and assist with security-related situations. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction-giving in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation; promptly report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
