Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Emergency Response in Northport, Alabama, to monitor and protect healthcare facilities. This part-time role emphasizes courtesy, professionalism, and a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will respond to emergencies, perform site-specific procedures, and maintain documentation of observations for site contacts and leadership. A Guard Card/License is preferred, with background checks and a drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations calmly and following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, and maintain a professional presence in the healthcare environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activities accurately and promptly, and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, and communicate observations promptly. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, and maintain a professional presence that helps support a welcoming healthcare environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
