Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer – Active Patrol in Northport, AL to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will maintain a visible security presence, perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role is full-time with a day/evening schedule. A Guard Card/License is preferred; applicants must be 18+ and able to pass background checks and a drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Must be able to respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner per site protocols.
• Conduct routine patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management following site procedures.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate with leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Active Patrol in Northport, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, helping to maintain controlled access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
