Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer with an active DoD Secret Clearance. You will provide security coverage at aerospace/defense locations, patrol facilities, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay rate: $23.11 per hour. This role emphasizes visibility, incident response, and reporting, with opportunities to learn and earn through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, verify authorization, and assist with visitor processing.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, and patrols.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM; Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, restricted-access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
