Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with a DoD Secret Clearance to protect clients across industries. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service and reporting observations to leadership.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a current clearance, and the ability to work a daytime weekend schedule. CPR/First Aid is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
